Read the following rhymes, aphorisms and common expressions using the words lie and lay.   Label each either "conventional" form, the "alternative" form or "reflexive" form.  Then shoot me.

A. Let sleeping dogs lie.

E.  Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray The Lord my soul to keep

F.  See a penny, pick it up
All day long you'll have good luck
See a penny, leave it lay
You'll have bad luck all the day

G..You made your bed; now lie in it.

H. Lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas.
